SouthTech’s Auto Body Repair Academy
provides students with real-world auto
body repair knowledge and practical experience in the
automotive repair and refinishing industries. Upon graduating,
students are career and/or college-ready.
Curriculum
Instructors train each student on broad transferable skills that
stress an understanding and demonstration of the automotive
industry. Students are educated to industry standards, and
provided certification through multidimensional trainings in
the classroom and in the shop. Within the program, they master
refinishing, related welding, trim-hardware maintenance and
glass servicing. Additional knowledge gained includes finance
management, and labor and community concerns related to
health, in addition to safety and environmental issues. Graduates
are well-prepared for careers and/or post-secondary study.
