Ed Morse Automotive Technology Academy at SouthTech Academy

SouthTech’s Automotive Technology
Academy provides students with
real-world automotive knowledge and practical experience in a
nurturing environment. Upon graduating, students are career
and college-ready.

Curriculum

Instructors train each student to industry standards and provide
certification through multidimensional training in the classroom
and shop. Students learn safety and accident prevention, tool
identification, and proper equipment usage. Additionally, they
learn to diagnose vehicle problems, plan a course of action and
recommend or make repairs as needed. Juniors and seniors have
the opportunity to earn the Florida Auto Dealers Association

(FADA) and Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Auto Mainte-
nance and Light Repair Industry Certifications. Graduates are
well-prepared for careers and/or post-secondary study.

Earning Power

A graduate of this academy can expect to earn a competitive wage
with unlimited growth potential. Graduates earn employment
through auto dealerships, repair franchises and independent re-
pair facilities such as Ed Morse Automotive Group, Schumacher, AutoNation,
Goodyear Tires and Snap-On Tools.
